    Quarterly Unstuck Church Report

It’s simple to use and quick to get set up. Just go to your church’s Facebook page and follow these simple steps.

There’s a lot of noise right now. A lot of uncertainty. And many church teams are trying to figure out the best way to reach people without being able to gather together in one location.

So we’ve pulled together a couple of our favorite ways you can use Facebook Live to connect your community of believers—

Elements to Share

Live Stream Your Sermon

Now, more than ever, believers need to share hope and peace with our families, our neighbors, and our communities. Even though your congregation may not be able to gather together in a building, they can join in online and still get the benefit of hearing God’s word together.

Live Stream Worship

Worship is a powerful way to refocus our hearts and bring peace in the midst of uncertainty. If two or three of your band members can get together to lead worship, try live streaming it and letting your congregation join from Facebook.

Live Stream Prayer

Ask for prayer requests from your congregation on Facebook or via email and then spend some time live streaming as you pray over them. This is one of the most incredible ways to build unity and empower your community in a difficult season.

Live Stream Announcements

If you have updates on the current state of services and ministries for your congregation, consider doing a live stream update of announcement as well as an email update. It can be helpful to connect with a face and voice, rather than just words on a screen.

Live Stream Encouragement & Ways to Help

Our hope is in Jesus. Even in times of crisis, we can rest in Him. Share that encouragement and peace with your congregation on Facebook and offer practical ways they can help others in the community or if you know of families with specific needs, offer ways for people to step in and meet those. For example, one of our churches is being a drop-off location for school lunches. A friend is writing notes to the elderly in her community. Another friend helped raise $2,000 to pay for 12 families groceries who couldn’t afford it. Offering practical ways to help serve others is a great way to focus on what it truly means to be His hands and feet here on earth.

Bonus: If your church has an Instagram account, you can do the same things on Instagram’s Stories feature and reach a younger audience.

Streaming Services on Facebook Live

It’s simple to use and quick to get set up. Just go to your church’s Facebook page and follow these simple steps.

  • Across the center of your Facebook page you’ll see several options in a greyed bar, including “Live.”
  • Click on the button titled “Live” and it will open the Live Producer page.
  • Here you’ll have the option on the left side to “Go Live Now” and follow the instructions. (We recommend using a Persistent Live Stream Key for ease. This is the best option as long as you’re only doing one video at a time.)
  • Or if you’d like to let your Facebook audience know you’re going to live stream later, you can click “Schedule a Live Video.” This then gives you the option to create a post about your upcoming live stream where you can post a photo, a date and time, and a title for your upcoming live stream. (On the right side of the page, you’ll see a preview of what your announcement post will look like.)
  • Go “Live” and encourage your community!
