    Quarterly Unstuck Church Report

by Troy Page, The Unstuck Group

I have felt the anxiety of a looming fall series and the constant pressure to make the promotion and programming better than ever. Planning is very challenging when a series has been delayed for one reason or another and the clock is ticking away with no direction for graphic design, promotions, song selection or creative elements for the series.

The tension rises knowing I will be evaluated on the creativity, excellence and effectiveness of the series promotion and execution. When our team is finally able to have our planning meeting, we find ourselves scrambling to pull it all together. Can you relate?

There are two common frustrations among communications and creative arts staff members:

  1. The staff can’t get enough series content information to dial into the theme and heart of the sermon.
  2. The staff can’t get ahead with enough lead time to be as creative, excellent and impactful as they could be (most series need at least 6-8 weeks lead time for design, promotions and video production).

So who is to blame? Sometimes it is the lead communicator who has a hard time getting ahead on his sermon content, but often it is a broken planning system that doesn’t create the structure and accountability necessary for everyone to plan ahead and ultimately create better services.

The Unstuck Group has heard your cries and wants to help. Our consulting team has developed a coaching and mentoring plan to help  you create next level series and worship services. This plan begins with a ministry assessment followed by onsite visits where we will walk beside you and help you plan your next ministry season from idea to execution.
