This week, Mark Miller is releasing a new book called, “The Heart of Leadership: Becoming a Leader People Want to Follow.” During our interview, Mark shared 6 leadership axioms that may help you on your leadership journey:

  1. The Heart of Leadership is about thinking of others first.
  2. The best predictor of future performance is past performance.
  3. When leaders lead well, not everyone will be happy.
  4. Leaders initiate change.
  5. Putting people who do not like change into a leadership role is not a good idea.
  6. Making people unhappy is a bi-product of good leadership.
