    Quarterly Unstuck Church Report

In 2011, The Unstuck Group performed a Staffing & Structure Review for Freedom Church. Just three years later, Freedom Church has grown quite a bit! Here are a few big wins that we’re celebrating with them…

In 2011, Freedom Church was already growing by 33% annually. Now, it is growing by 40% annually.

Volunteer engagement has increased from 31% to 67%.

Small group participation has increased from 16% to 34%.

Children’s ministry has nearly doubled in size.

It is clear that God is doing great things through Freedom Church, and we’re honored to be a part of their story. I recently caught up with lead pastor JR Lee to hear more about his experience with the Staffing & Structure Review. Here’s what he had to say…

RYAN: What was the highlight of your experience in 2011?

JR: Our time with Tony and The Unstuck Group was very beneficial. At the time we were a 3.5 year old portable church averaging approximately 500 people. Tony opened our eyes to needs to address and gave us insight into how to strategically align for the future.

RYAN: What did you learn from the experience that you would not have otherwise known?

JR: We learned how valuable systems and structure are to eliminating bottlenecks. Ours was not an issue of vision. It was an issue regarding capacity. When we increased our capacity, we were able to progress rapidly and our vision was able to flourish.

RYAN: What steps did you take to get unstuck as a result of the Staffing and Structure Review?

JR: Tony suggested making a difficult staff transition which turned out to be a very necessary move. Doing so enabled us to operate at a newfound level of efficiency and released our other team members to be more effective.

RYAN: Several areas of the church have significantly improved since 2011. Were any of those areas impacted by the Staffing and Structure Review?

JR: Our attendance in both adult worship and children’s ministry has grown significantly since that time. Had we not made the changes that were suggested as a result of Tony’s insight we would not be in the position we are currently in with four Worship Experiences each Sunday and an average attendance of over 1,600.

Is it possible that the structure of your church is limiting its ability to reach your community? Are you confident that right people are in the right roles? If our team can help you consider a Staffing and Structure Review, drop us a line and let us know.
