    Quarterly Unstuck Church Report

Every once in awhile I like to review the search terms that people entered that pointed them to my website. As you might expect, common search terms include “Tony Morgan,” “church consulting,” and “spiritual growth.” That, of course, makes sense.

I’m always perplexed, though, by some of the very random searches that lead people to my site. Here are some of my recent favorites. In case you didn’t find the answers on my site, let me try to address them now.

  1. “Youth Pastor pretending to be busy” – Wondering if this was a senior pastor trying to catch his youth pastor, or a youth pastor trying to avoid the senior pastor.
  2. “Andy Stanley’s House” – You’ll find every picture I’ve ever taken of Andy’s house by the pictures of “Andy Stanley’s Rolls Royce” and “Andy Stanley’s yacht.”
  3. “My wife’s legs” – This one confuses me. Were you looking for my wife’s legs on my site or were you looking for your wife’s legs on my site?
  4. “How tall is Craig Groeschel?” – I’m going to guess 6′ 1”, but when he wears his 70s platform shoes with his leisure suit he’s well over 6′ 5″.
  5. “How to quit bowling league” – Should a bowler already be a bowler in another bowling league, he or she may be transferred by letter to a new bowling league.  Using this approach, the receiving bowling league sends a request for a transfer of letter to the previous bowling league.
  6. “Best ringtones for pastors” – I’ve never surveyed other pastors, but, because I love country music and NASCAR so much, this is my ringtone. Boogity, Boogity, Boogity Amen!
  7. “Parachute pants” – I’m praying they make a comeback. Long live the 80s!
  8. “Thing to do in Granger, Indiana” – I have many friends in Granger from my days at Granger Community Church. Good luck, though, finding a long list of things to do in Granger.
  9. “Serve acronym leadership” – Obviously that was a Baptist pastor working on his message. Here’s my advice. Practice my “SUAN” principle: STOP USING ACRONYMS NOW!
  10. “Wisdom test” – If you’ve made it this far in this article, you’ve probably failed the wisdom test.

Happy “Fun Friday!” Have a great weekend!
